VPS Region APAC Power Plant Solutions APAC Grid APAC The grid team coordinates all grid aspects across the sales/construction/Service phase of the projects in Asia Pacific (APAC) with a special focus on Australia and New Zealand. The role will encompass technical grid project management throughout the construction phase, overseeing the grid compliance and balance of plant processes on multiple projects. Responsibilities Undertake plant performance compliance testing, model validation (R2) testing, and generator registration with AEMO, including liaising with site based personnel Support power system studies to define the wind farm generator performance standards and to develop the wind farm control system functional design specification and reactive plant requirements Coordinate activities with the internal stakeholders on modelling and study aspects Coordinate and ensure high quality grid connection deliverables are submitted on time Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure grid connection/compliance issues are resolved in a timely manner Engage and monitor power systems engineering consultancies as required Coordinate and prepare formal responses to inquiries regarding wind farm technical performance Assess Variations, Requests for Information (RFIs) and payment claims Qualifications Bachelor / Master\'s degree in Power System / Electrical / Similar specialization 2+ years of experience in electrical testing Experience using PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory simulation tools desirable Substation electrical design well regarded Competencies Ability to supervise consultants and designers in a construction environment - tier one company experience valued Experience in review of grid connection compliance design in a construction environment Any grid connection experience, especially wind farm registration will be valued Generator and power systems modelling - wind farm modelling will be valued Any experience in negotiation with major stakeholders, such as clients, consultants, contractors and authorities Experience working in high stress environment What We Offer We offer you a job in a true global and fast moving organization with excellent opportunities for cross disciplinary and personal development.
