Lead Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 Aerodynamics, Soiling, Aero-Acoustics, Thermal Management
Job description:
- Lead and Perform Aerodynamics, Soiling, Aero-acoustic and Thermal CFD simulations for Cabin, by evaluating proposed concepts and drive Cost effective, implementable design solutions through Cross Functional Collaboration
- Lead and develop Methods/Tools aligned to Automation, lead time reduction and physical validation reduction
- Own Full Responsibility for Aerodynamics/Soiling/Thermal Management/Aero-Acoustics feature performance deliverables for Volvo Product Portfolio
- An active member in CFD network within the Volvo Group and contribute towards Strategies, Roadmap, Advanced Engineering activities and Method development
- Ability to work in a Global and Multi-cultural Agile environment with an opportunity to be part of complete Vehicle development life cycle
- Demonstrate Leadership, Accountability and Commitment in securing Quality, Delivery and Product feature for all Aero related deliveries from Bangalore
- Excellent communication skills, Leadership skills, Learning on fly, Team player, Emphasis on Detailing & Problem-solving skills
- Masters\' degree in a Mechanical/Fluid-dynamics related field
- 12+ Years Experience in performing CFD simulations involving Aerodynamic, Soiling, Thermal management and Aero-Acoustics
- Hand-on Expertise in CAE Tools like ANSA, HyperWorks and StarCCM+/PowerFlow while OpenFoam knowledge is preferred
- Knowledge of Optimization tools is added advantage
- Exposure to Physical Validation and should have sound Automotive Vehicle development Process knowledge
