Key Responsibilities

Role Summary

Lead the electrical discipline for gas pipeline EPC projects including pre-bid engineering, detailed design, vendor management, and site/commissioning support. Ensure technical quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with international standards and client requirements.

1. Leadership & Coordination

Lead electrical engineering team; assign tasks and review deliverables. Coordinate with pipeline, mechanical, instrumentation, civil, telecom, and project teams. Ensure compliance with codes (IEC, IEEE, API, OISD, NEC).

2. Pre-Bid & Proposal Engineering

Review FEED/tender documents and prepare technical clarifications. Develop conceptual SLDs, load summaries, MTOs and BOQs. Provide inputs to estimation and risk assessment teams.

3. Detailed Engineering

Approve SLDs, load lists, cable sizing, earthing & lightning designs. Lead electrical design for BVS, RTU/RTS, SV, metering & scraper stations. Review protection studies, short-circuit studies, and ETAP reports. Finalize equipment specifications: transformers, switchgear, MCC, VFDs, UPS, DG sets.

4. Vendor & Procurement Support

Prepare/approve datasheets, technical specifications and TBEs. Review vendor drawings, FAT procedures and inspection documents.

5. Construction & Commissioning Support

Address site RFIs and resolve technical issues. Support testing and commissioning of electrical systems. Approve pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures.

Work Experience

Skills & Competencies

Strong EPC pipeline electrical design expertise (HV/MV/LV systems). Proficient in ETAP/SKM, AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux. Excellent leadership, communication, and multi-disciplinary coordination. Knowledge of hazardous area classification (ATEX/IECEx).

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. 12-16 years' experience in oil & gas / pipeline EPC projects. * Proven experience as discipline lead on EPC projects.
