The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

  • Lead development to oversee engineers to ensure that right dashboards / reports are designed, developed and implemented for Treasury metrics.
  • Take an active role and work with team on optimize system performance, availability, security as well as leverage, re-use and solve for technical problems when they arise.
  • Ensure governance and reduce time to market by embracing automation DevOps / CICD, SRE by design.
  • Work towards Improving the system architecture by tracking emerging technologies, tool-stacks.
  • Collaborate with Solution architects, Business Analysts, Application Architects, Lead Developers and Testers to implement effective solutions.
  • Communicate technology strategy, architecture, system requirements to software development teams.
  • Line management of 15 over people across squads.
Strategy
  • Understand and apply the data quality management platform strategic architecture design principles and standards, adopt bank wide strategic initiatives like cloud, technology policy and standards.
Business
  • Accountable to ensure the required data quality management business intelligence layer parameters are set to me the business user\xe2\x80\x99s needs. Design the user-friendly dashboards with high performing and accurate output to meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
Processes
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
People and Talent
  • Build the appropriate culture and values to be a role model. Acquire new skills to keep up the system update to date and to align bank wide new initiatives.
Risk Management
  • The resource should be able to manage risk and should be able to provide plans / ideas for mitigation.

  • Adhere governance and policy requirements.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment].
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science / Engineering, above 10 years of hands-on / working experience on the advanced / expert technical competencies.
  • Proven experience as Business Intelligence, and ability to conduct technology analysis, research, code-reviews, guidance to developers.
  • Good knowledge of current technological trends, including cloud native applications, hands-on experience on RDBMS, Bigdata, In-memory Cube, Business Intelligence, and analytics tools like Tableau, MicroStrategy and IT security standards.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, communication skills to articulate at different levels, aptitude for creative problem solving, drive innovation.
  • Experience in designing and building platform using CI / CD pipelines.
  • Experience in Agile way of working.
