Job Description


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will be part of CIB Channels Technology team focused on API Banking & related programmes.

Role: Development Manager

  • Technical architecture and design skills
  • Experience in microservices based architectures
  • Java 8 or above, spring/spring boot framework, REST APIs, Soap web services, JMS, JPA, Hibernate
  • Experience in Kubernetes, Tomcat
  • SQL query skills (SQL, NoSql)
  • Experience in creating test cases using various testing frameworks such as JUnit / Mockito / Cucumber
  • Experience with any messaging brokers such as Kafka
  • Working experience in Agile scrum environment
  • Should have working experience with tools like Maven, JIRA, GIT, Jenkins etc
  • Banking domain knowledge
  • Working experience with Cassandra, Kafka and any cloud platform providers
  • Knowledge in devops
  • Experience in functional requirement analysis and design
  • Ability to turn high level solutions into low level technical specifications.
  • Banking domain knowledge
  • Experience in corporate banking
Responsibilities
  • Must be able to handle multiple scrum teams
  • Ability to develop the components or prototypes
  • Work closely with API Delivery Manager to develop detailed technical specifications.
  • Ability to run through detailed technical design with the development team
  • Ability to manage and mentor development team. Run code reviews and ensure the implementation adheres to standards and solution design
  • Manage development and systems integration test environments used by the development teams. Ensure this environment is always available for development and testing.
  • Assist in finding and resolving critical production issues by analysis monitoring, logs and tracing information.
  • Support and guide production support teams during deployments and configuration changes.
  • Mentoring and guiding the team in day-to-day technical activities
  • Must be a team player who works with technical and non-technical resources
  • Ability to learn new technologies and new frameworks
  • Should have excellent motivation, communication skills (oral & written)
  • Ability to multi-task and engage productively on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Should have worked in Agile environments
  • Should be able to assess detailed effort estimates
