Major Function/Role:



AtkinsRealis Business is hiring an experienced Technical Manager - Tekla Steel for our NNB Project team. This person will be carrying out a mix of functions that span from internal process improvements to supporting project delivery. The successful candidate should be a people, process, tool (in that order) focused individual whose job it will be to ensure our project delivery teams adhere to common standards and the latest design delivery techniques. The candidate will also actively support project teams on proposal and project delivery tasks.

Responsibilities:



Should be proficient in Tekla Structures and good knowledge in 3D modelling of industrial and infrastructure projects. Much experienced and having sound knowledge about LOD concept. Should be able to impliment BIM process and setup the project as a administrator. Should be competent in running the clash detection process in Navisworks and able to act as an information manager. Able to generate Bolt Plan, GA drawings, Erection drawings, Part drawings. Able to generate all kind of reports (NC File) and Bill of Materials (BOM). Able to import and export data from the model. Should be able to train junior staff in BIM process and best practices. Should be able to provide lesson learnt session to the team. Produce drawings in accordance with Drawing Management Standards (DMS) and relevant specifications and codes of practice. Establishing, maintaining, and enforcing the use of proper BIM/CAD standard and procedure. Ensure technical competencies are kept up to date.

Mandatory Requirements:



Diploma / BE in Civil Engineering with minimum of 12 to 15 years of experience in steel structures modelling and detailing using TEKLA Structure, Revit and Navis Manage. Should have basic software experience in AutoCAD, Micro station. Strong detailing experience in industrial and infrastructure projects. Able to prepare schedule and client intaraction during whole project lifecycle. Experience implementing and administrating common data environments: Bentley ProjectWise, MS Teams, SharePoint, BIM360. Experience in other relevant software such as MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-Outlook, MS - Teams. Well verse with standard detailing practice for conventional and PEB structure standard. Able to provide digital solution to ease detailing process. Ability to work effectively with colleagues, seniors, team members and clients. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Ability to independently produce high quality 3D model and engineering drawings. Ability to liaise with the design team as necessary to coordinate design and drawing production. Ability to prepare and update BEP and well verse with BIM code and standard. Ability to understand interoperability between all BIM software. Should have good understanding of relevant codes (IS codes, AISC and BS/EN). Knowledge of 4D and 5D simulations and data integrations. Good written and verbal English language communication skills.

Desirable Requirements:



Knowledge PDMS/E3D, SP3D, CADS RC software's. Knowledge of RC detailing and drafting of complex structures. Experience in RC detailing software's like Tekla, Bentley Rebar would be added advantage. Knowledge of Rhino and Grasshopper software influence in TEKLA Structure. Knowledge of any coadding/programming would be added advantage.

Qualifications and attributes:



A Bachelor's degree or Diploma holder in Civil Engineering with sufficient and relevant industry experience. 12 to 15 years of relevant experience. Excellent time and resource management skills. Flexible and engaging with resilience, drive, and self-motivation. Ability to collaborate successfully within a project and team environment also to work independently and in a client environment. Working knowledge of AISC and British Standards.
