SECTION III: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Oversee the design and construction process of the project as directed by management.
SECTION IV: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE
Assist in site study with design options for feasibility studies. This shall include conduct site
investigations, planning parameters, authority requirements and cost estimates.
Work with internal parties especially marketing to come up with Project Brief for consultants to
base upon for their design works.
Source, recommend and appoint various consultants especially design consultants e.g. master
planner, concept architect, landscape architect, interior designer, green consultant, facade
consultant, lighting consultant and other design consultants.
Conduct regular design and coordination meetings with consultants and internal parties.
Liaise with consultants and internal parties for submission and obtain timely approvals from
relevant authorities.
Manage the design change process to ensure minimal impact to project schedule and minimize
cost impacts as a result of such design change.
Prepare and organize presentation and obtain management approval for various stages of
design development e.g. master plan, schematic design and pre-tender stage
Work with consultants and internal parties in sourcing, recommend and select materials,
construction method for various projects. This shall include creation of material library for future
projects.
Conduct design audits at various stages to ensure that works on site are carried out based on
original design. This shall include making adjustments for non-practical design to prevent
recurring mistakes.
Standardize good practices in design and detailing for tender drawings and documents of future
projects.
Remain up-to-date with current and trending elements of design, construction, and technology
Innovate and develop new standards, policies, and procedures for architectural as necessary to
minimize costs and maximize efficiency

Technical & Professional Knowledge required
(What someone NEEDS TO KNOW) Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering or related discipline with 10-15 years of exp of which minimum five years'
experience in AutoCAD drafting
Excellent written and oral communication skills along with presentation techniques
Well-versed in Word, Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project and Power Point
Experience required
(What someone NEEDS TO HAVE DONE) Experience with real estarte developers , should have handled minimum 2-3 full projects right from design and approval stage to handover.
