Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have


1. Good experience in Station Engineering work like Detailed layout design of High Voltage equipment

( Transformer, Circuit Breakers, Switches, CT/PT/CVT,

Arresters etc.) for Outdoor and Indoor substation.

? Bus bar sizing,

? Earthing design,

? Direct Stroke Lightning protection design,

? Sag tension

? Structure loading layout

? Lighting layout? Cable Trench ,Tray , pull box design

? Control Building Layout

2. Good experience in handling station design/Modelling in 3D

using AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Map or Inventor

3. Clear understanding on activities and deliverables during Basic

engineering and Detailed engineering phase.

4. Detailed analysis of tender document , check the clause by

clause compliance implications along with the offer. Preparation

of bill of quantity (BOQ) along with SLD, Layout & sectional

drawing with Preliminary Engineering.

5. Good understanding and experience in IEC/IEEE/ANSI/NEMA

and other international standards

6. Good understanding and experience on various High Voltage

substation arrangements.

7. Experience in customer front ending to resolve issues.

8. Good verbal and written communication.

9. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.





Good-to-Have


1. Work experience on Gas Insulated Switchgear substations

2. Experience on Revit tool.

3. Experience on PDMS tool ( Aveva)



Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

1 Prepare General arrangement, layout & 3D Modelling drawings for Electrical AIS/GIS Substation

2 Preparation of tender documents including preliminary drawings and BoQ.

3 Prepare Electrical design package for both Above Grade and Below Grade work in Green Field/ Brown

Field substations

4 Prepare Cable sizing and routing ( 3D/2D) detail.

5 Prepation of sizing calculations for Busbar, Lighting Protection, Earthing etc.

6 Prepare detailed bill of material for the all equipments in project scope.

7 Coordinate with other team and stakeholders for information exchange.

8 Support customer/site queries for clarification and modification of design.

9 Provide design inputs to team of designers
