Advance Auto Parts (AAP) is seeking a Lead Cloud Database to help with our modernization efforts. This position requires a high-energy, positive attitude and proactive candidate who can work closely with our application development team, Security and Cloud Ops team to modernize the legacy infrastructure
Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a DBA
• 6+ years of experience engineering, administering, and managing relational databases like Postgres and MySQL
• 4+ years of experience managing RDS on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc).
• Experience developing automated processes on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc)
• Knowledge of Teffaforms, NewRelic, Confluence, Jira+
• Strong communication skills
• A change Champion that takes on new initiatives and deliver

• Build & deliver Cloud Strategies enabling business transformations and workload migrations.
• Provide leadership in infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques including mass application movements into Azure.
• Head responsibility to delivery technical architectural design, plans and strategies to be delivered in engagement.
• Participate in requirements collection for project engagements.
• Be an expert in current industry abilities as well as consolidation, virtualization (systems, storage and networking), applications virtualization, and cloud design.
• Understand how an end-to-end vertical service stack can be transformed into a cloud or hybrid scenario, with a very broad and often deep understanding of technologies, technical constraints and capabilities.
• Lead cultural change for cloud adoption by nurturing Cloud expertise, including coaching, mentoring and socialization.
• Develop and coordinate cloud strategy and architecture, including requirements and performance standards to meet or exceed management and customer specifications in a cost-effective manner.In-depth knowledge of Cloud architecture and database migration to Cloud
• Expert in relational Data Service, Data Migration Services along with PostgreSQL & MySQL Database in Cloud
• Extensive knowledge of the MySQL & PostgreSQL architecture and drive end to end availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning
• Rewrite and debugging complex code to be compatible with MySQL or PostgreSql
• Should have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment independently
• Troubleshooting database performance issues and help to ensure security and compliance across all database systems
• Providing on-call support for production database systems
• Continues improvement and Automating that include CICD pipleline implementation
• Communicate clearly and regularly with project teams and management.
• Lead/Mentor team and build cloud knowledge with-in the team and drive for team success.
