Khoros is seeking an Lead Database Administrator to add to our TechOps team. The mission of a Lead Database Administrator is to learn, maintain, troubleshoot, and evolve our Cloud database infrastructure. The ideal candidate is somebody who has 8+ years of direct MySQL DBA experience. We\'re a team that believes in working and growing together with kindness - you should believe in that too. Responsibilities: Maintain availability and performance of our MySQL/Postgres infrastructure.. Main focus will be working with our AWS Aurora database infrastructure. Use configuration management tools (Cloudformation, Ansible) to reliably build infrastructure and keep it up to date Administer AWS resources related to our database platform such as EC2, S3, RDS. Monitor and maintain datastores such as Elasticsearch, MySQL, Cassandra, Kafka Mentor and help earlier-career team members Assist engineering teams with infrastructure consultation Respond to incidents and participate in an on-call rotatio Minimum Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent work experience 8+ years of direct MySQL, Postgres DBA experience. 5+ years of AWS experience (Aurora, RDS, S3, EC2, EBS) Experience in scripting languages such as shell/Python Configuration management with Ansible, Chef, Puppet or similar tech Experience building and maintaining infrastructure in a cloud environment Preferred Requirements: Experience also managing and maintaining Azure infrastructure Casandra,Elasticsearch, Kafka datastore Experience PostgreSQL DB Experience Oracle DB Experience 2-4 years of professional programming experience Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as DataDog, Nagios.
