Sabre Hospitality Solutions (SHS) is a leading provider of hotel reservations and distribution solutions. Solutions include SynXis Central Reservations, SynXis Property Manager, device responsive SynXis Booking Engine, digital design and marketing services. We are building platforms of unprecedented scale and capability on our journey to becoming the leading technology provider to the hospitality industry. This is a Senior Database Administration (Oracle Database/GoldenGate) position which provides support for several SHS products.

Under general direction, supports complex computerized databases. Ensures availability and performance thoughput according to established expectations. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management. Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Responsible for maintaining and updating complex databases. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Writes and produces standardized and complex customized or ad hoc monitoring and alerts. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for implementing solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.

This position contributes to ensuring a stable, controlled database environment for Development, Test, and Production systems. You will be responsible for deploying/ installing and configuring various infrastructures, working on large scale migrations, supporting releases, setting up monitoring and tuning for performance.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

5-7+ year experience with Oracle is a MUST, including managing HA solutions through DataGuard or GoldenGate

Experience with Microsoft SQLServer and/or MariaDB is a PLUS.

Experience with cloud services and replication technology is highly desirable

Experience with performance tuning and query optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools

Excellent written and verbal communication

Flexible, team player, \xe2\x80\x9cget-it-done\xe2\x80\x9d personality

Ability to organize and plan work independently

Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment

Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams

EDUCATION: Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent
