B.Tech/M.Tech - Computer science/IT

B.SC/M.Sc(Integrated programme) - (Economics/Maths/Statistics)

Job Purpose :

Responsibilities include creating machine learning models and retraining systems. To do this job successfully, you need to have exceptional skills in statistics and programming. Knowledge of data science and computing will be required

You will lead all the processes from data collection, cleaning, and pre-processing, to training models and deploying them to production. Your ultimate goal will be to shape and build efficient self-learning applications to solve business problems.

Key / Primary Responsibilities of the Role - List the primary deliverables:

- Understanding business objectives and developing models that help to achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress

- Managing available resources so that project deadlines are met

- Analysing the ML algorithms that could be used to solve a business problem and ranking them by their success probability

- Building Models and deploying them

- Exploring and visualizing data to gain an understanding of it, then identifying differences in data distribution that could affect performance when deploying the model in the real world

- Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods

- Defining validation strategies

- Training models and tuning their hyper parameters

- Analysing the errors of the model and designing strategies to overcome them

- Strong Team Management skills & stakeholder Management

Key Success Metrics :

Development of Machine Learning algorithms to solve real life business problems

Minimum Number of Years: 8 + years of experience in Machine Learning

Functional Area:

The desired candidate must have :

- Proven experience in Machine Learning or similar role

- Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture

- Deep knowledge of math, probability, statistics and algorithms

- Ability to write robust code in Python, Scala and R

- Familiarity in SPARK or any other distributed environment will be preferred

- Excellent communication skills

- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
