This position is open in the core engineering team. This team drives development of the core technologies fueling the growth of the Waygate Technologies digital business. Partner with the best The Lead Data Scientist will be part of a data science or cross-disciplinary team, working in concert with partners in Baker Hughes. Potential application areas include Computer Vision based Automatic Defect Recognition (ADR) across NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) industrial sectors. The Lead Data Scientist will lead engagements with internal/external customers and develop analytics within defined business objectives to address customer needs and opportunities. As a Lead Data Scientist, you will be responsible for: Working with business stakeholders to understand the business problem/requirements and helping define analytic objectives Building or selecting the state of art machine learning or computer vision models according to the industry use case. Develop reusable components that can be applied to similar problems across the industry Having experience in the development of advanced computer vision solutions for the detection of defects in the industrial inspection images (Visual or CT/Xray images). Implementing computer vision techniques in image classification, object detection, segmentation, etc. using frameworks like TensorFlow & PyTorch Building a good knowledge around AWS Cloud services and the cloud ecosystem to meet functional and non-functional requirements Having ability to deploy machine or deep learning solutions into production (Edge or cloud environment) Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have a Bachelor/Masters/Phd in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with 7-9 years of the overall experience. Have minimum 5+ years of experience with machine learning, computer vision algorithms, and framework to solve object detection, recognition, tracking, segmentation, etc. Have minimum 3+ years of experience with deploying ML models into production environments Deep understanding of Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) concepts and best practices Have hands-on experience on deep learning & machine learning libraries Tensorflow, Pytorch, Keras, sklearn, OpenCV, etc. and AWS services Have Solid programming skills with Python and/or non-scripting languages Have experience in handling time series data & forecasting, prediction problems Have experience in scaling the deployments using docker and kubernetes.
