Key responsibilities:
Leveraging existing systems and architecture to drive scale and efficiency
Building applications to control and mitigate business risk and exposure
Performing application maintenance and ensure information security controls
Provide timely status updates, issue resolutions, and step-by-step instructions on usability questions
Collaborate with Product, Execution, and other support teams to resolve or escalate user inquiries
Based on support queue trends, make recommendations for innovation and automation to reduce volume.
The Skills that are Key to this role
We are looking for Software Engineers who have a "we can figure it out" attitude towards solution engineering and application development.
Strong programming skills in SQL/PL-SQL
Demonstrated expertise in Data Virtualization tools: Denodo (preferred) or Tibco Data Virtualization (TDV)
Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle)
Experience in ETL/ELT tools: Informatica or SnapLogic or equivalent
Experience with Enterprise Data Lake e.g. Snowflake
Experience with GitHub
Experience in ML and Python will be a nice addition
Good experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience of Cloud technologies and automated deployments
Demonstrate strategic thinking and ability to analyze business direction and problems, understand long term vision and risk in developing strategic technical solutions.
Demonstrate expertise in performance optimization techniques and tools, ensuring efficient and effective system operations
Experience designing complex data solutions to solve key technical challenges.
An innovative mindset committed to automating and streamlining manual processes.
Ability to communicate software engineering and/or development concepts and principles.
Ability to take up new challenges and explore new technology/tools
Can collaborate well with the Business, your team members, work independently, and influence your technology peers.
Proficient in ability to identify and pull data from various applications and systems (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle, SQL Server)
Experience in performing complex data analysis and data aggregation
