About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned

D365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant

to lead complex

data migration programs from AX2012 to D365 F&O

using the

Data Management Framework (DMF)

across

multi-legal entity

environments. You'll be the functional lead interfacing directly with

US-based stakeholders

, shaping migration strategy, solving data quality challenges, and enabling a smooth cutover. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, an excellent team player, and a reliable independent contributor who can mentor others and collaborate closely with technical teams--bringing hands-on familiarity with

X++

to bridge functional and technical gaps.

What You'll Do

Own end-to-end data migration

for AX2012 ? D365 F&O using

DMF

(entities, templates, mappings, staging, packages). Design

migration strategy & governance

: scope, sequencing, delta loads, cutover plan, reconciliation, and sign-offs. Lead

multi-legal entity

migrations: model configurations, company-by-company data variations, cross-company dependencies. Conduct

data profiling & cleansing

; define transformation rules; establish validation & reconciliation frameworks. Create and manage

data templates, LCS asset libraries, and configuration packages

; optimize import/export performance. Partner with US client stakeholders in

workshops

: requirements, fit-gap, scope control, and change management. Map and validate key functional areas:

GL, AP, AR, Bank, Fixed Assets, Project, Procurement, Sales, Inventory, Master Data

. Drive

UAT

,

mock runs

, and

cutover rehearsals

; own

defect triage

and

hypercare

stabilization. Collaborate with technical teams; review and guide

X++ customizations

impacting data entities and integrations. Mentor juniors; establish

best practices

Required Qualifications

6+ years

of hands-on experience as a

D365 F&O / AX2012 Functional Consultant

with

lead-level

responsibilities. Demonstrated

leadership

of

multiple AX2012 ? D365 F&O migrations

using

DMF

in

multi-legal entity

environments. Proven

US client-facing

experience: stakeholder management, status reporting, and executive communication. Strong command of

DMF

: entities, staging tables, mappings, transformations, data packages, LCS asset management. Deep functional knowledge across

Finance and Operations

modules (GL/AP/AR/FA/Bank/Inventory/Procurement/Project). Expertise in

data validation & reconciliation

; cutover planning; mock runs; defect triage; and hypercare.

Excellent communication skills

(written & verbal); ability to lead workshops and manage cross-functional teams. Team player who is also a

strong independent contributor

--able to own outcomes with minimal oversight.

Technical familiarity with X++

to read code, understand entity behaviors, and collaborate on data-related customizations. Experience with

integrations

(Data Entities, OData/Batch APIs),

security roles

, and

cross-company data handling

Good-to-Have Skills

SQL

for data validation and troubleshooting.

Python

for automation and reconciliation scripts.

Additional Details

Client interview required

before onboarding. Work closely with US-based stakeholders and Indian team members. Contract position with

monthly payout

at $15/hour.
