Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - VMware Ops Engineer

Responsibilities

• The candidate has to be an expert in Docker and containerization technologies. They must have knowledge about container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Responsible for defining and implementing our containerization technology strategies.
• The candidate will work on building, scaling, and monitoring various highly complex applications, and making our container orchestration cluster highly available.
• Build and maintain highly available systems on Kubernetes.
• Implement an auto-scaling system for our Kubernetes nodes.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
• Maintain ownership and engineering of infrastructure services used to run the environments (i.e. iDracs, vCenter, VMware Ops Manager, VDI, VRO, VRA, Loginsight and VRops etc.)
• Knowledge on HA, DRS and Datastore Clustering
• Working Knowledge on VMWare Standard Switches and Distributed Switches.
• Hands on experience on Vcenter and its appliance usage.
• ESX provisioning, configuration management, and patch management
• Implement automation- process, ESX OS builds, and upgrades
• Server tuning, capacity management, and inventory management
• Provide hardware support and Engineering/Architecture/Design guidance
• Strong working knowledge of VMware systems administration and troubleshooting
• Experience with VMware systems using SAN and NAS as the storage backend
• Proficiency in one or more administrative languages such as Bash, Ruby, Python, PowerCLI, etc.
• Knowledge and exposure to network protocols and tools for system side diagnostics

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in IS, Computer Science, MIS Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience needed.
