[Lead Consultant - Sr Site Reliability Engineer]
We are seeking a Senior Sr Site Reliability Engineer with strong experience across DevOps automation, systems administration, Azure AVD, infrastructure as code, and configuration management. This role requires a hands-on engineer who can design, build, automate, and operate reliable systems while communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will work across cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, operating systems, and automation frameworks to drive reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
DevOps & Automation
Design and implement end-to-end automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and repeatable releases.
Automate operational workflows to reduce manual effort and eliminate toil.
Infrastructure as Code
Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform and related
IaC
tools.
Enforce version control, modular design, and environment consistency.
Support multi-environment deployments (dev, test, prod).
Systems Administration
Administer and support Linux and Windows systems in cloud and hybrid environments.
Perform system hardening, patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Manage identity, access controls, and operational security best practices.
Scripting & Development
Develop automation and tooling using Python and PowerShell.
Write reusable scripts and modules for provisioning, monitoring, and remediation.
Integrate automation with APIs, cloud services, and monitoring platforms.
Configuration Management
Implement and maintain configuration management solutions (Ansible, DSC, Chef, Puppet, or similar).
Ensure configuration consistency and drift detection across environments.
Define and enforce configuration standards and baselines.
Monitoring & Reliability
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
Improve system reliability, availability, and recovery processes.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with application, security, and infrastructure teams.
Clearly communicate technical concepts, risks, and solutions to stakeholders.
Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
experience in DevOps, Automation, Systems Engineering, or SRE
Strong hands-on experience with:
Python and PowerShell
Terraform (modules, state management, best practices)
Proven ability to design and implement automation at scale
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Azure or AWS in enterprise environments
Knowledge of Kubernetes and container platforms
Experience supporting production, mission-critical systems
Familiarity with compliance or regulated environments
Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading initiatives
What We're Looking For

Design, deploy, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments
Configure host pools, session hosts, application groups, and workspaces
Manage user access using Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) and RBAC
Monitor performance, availability, and cost optimization of AVD resources
Implement security best practices (Conditional Access, MFA, NSGs, Defender)
Troubleshoot AVD connectivity, performance, and user profile issues

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
required. Preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related
field
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Strong experience in Infrastructure and Azure Cloud operations
Hands on experience with Azure cloud native services
Hands on
experience with Immutable/Rehydration of Azure services
Experience with Agile and DevOps concepts
Strong communication
and written skills
Experience
creating technical documentation.
