Role Overview
SAP Security Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing effective security measures within SAP systems. This role ensures that company data and SAP environments remain safeguarded against internal and external threats by enforcing compliance, mitigating risks, and supporting business requirements for secure system operations. This role also ensures and encompasses the responsibilities to analyse the existing SAP environment and provide solutions as per SAP best practices to add value to client's environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain SAP security solutions.
• Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability investigations within SAP systems and applications.
• Develop and enforce comprehensive SAP security policies, procedures, and protocols based on industry standards and best practices.
• Support SAP enhancement projects and upgrades through security configuration and troubleshooting.
• Monitor, review, and resolve critical security issues.
• Maintain documentation of security configurations, processes, and compliance measures to support audits.
• Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of security requirements throughout the SAP implementation/operational lifecycle.
• Perform continuous user access reviews and manage user roles and profiles.
• Handling of Audit Items (Security) & related working documents
• Ensure compliance with regulatory/legal standards relevant to SAP security, such as SOX (Section 404 : Management Assessment of Internal Controls)
• Provide support/Guidance to AMS security Team.

Desirable Skills

• Extensive experience in SAP Security & Segregation of Duties.
• Knowledge of SAP ECC, BI, SAP Fiori, SAP BPC Security, SAP GTS, Azure AD & SAP BTP.
• Solid understanding of SAP authorization concepts, roles, and profiles across various SAP modules (FI, HR, MM, PM, etc.)
• Familiarity with SAP security audit functions and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX controls, SOD analysis)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage risk assessments, perform role redesign, and resolve SOD violations.
• Good ITGC & Audit understanding and working experience.
• Expertise in handling critical/complex security issues and providing operational security support for global SAP environments
