Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - NIST CSF Controls Testing Engineer

Responsibilities:Perform detailed testing of cybersecurity controls mapped to NIST CSF categories/subcategories. Evaluate technical and procedural controls across security domains such as IAM, network security, endpoint security, vulnerability management, logging/monitoring, IR, and business continuity. Execute test plans, test scripts, and validation procedures to evaluate control design and operating effectiveness. Review evidence, artifacts, logs, configurations, and process outputs to assess compliance. Conduct walkthroughs with control owners to validate processes and technical safeguards. Work with control owners, SMEs, system admins, and process teams to address gaps. Identify deviations from policy, industry standards, and NIST CSF expectations and Document testing results, findings, and residual risk and ensuring exceptions are logged and approved Prepare test reports, dashboards, scorecards, and executive summaries. Highlight high-risk findings and present them to management with clear remediation paths. Track remediation status and validate closure of corrective actions. Support preparation of risk acceptance documentation when necessary. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IS, Computer Science, MIS Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Level 2 analyst with hands-on experience with cybersecurity controls testing, internal audit, or governance/risk/compliance functions. Strong understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) functions, categories, and subcategories. Ability to interpret security architectures, logs, and system configurations. Proficiency in analyzing risk, reviewing evidence, and documenting control effectiveness. Familiarity with GRC tools (ServiceNow, Audit Board, etc.). Knowledge of common IT and security control areas such as: IAM, Endpoint & Network Security, VM, SIEM, IR, Change and Config Management, Backup & Recovery
Preferred Qualifications/ SkillsCISA, CISSP, CISM CRISC ISO 27001 Lead Auditor / Lead Implementer CompTIA Security+ or CySA+
