Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - NetezzaWe are looking for an experienced Netezza Support Engineer to provide production support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for our Netezza environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Netezza, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment to ensure system stability and high availability.



Responsibilities:



Provide day-to-day support for Netezza appliances, databases, and processes*
Monitor system health, performance, and resource utilization*
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Netezza databases, connectivity, and performance*
Perform incident management, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions*
Manage and schedule backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures*
Work with development teams to deploy code changes and database updates*
Work with IBM for patching & platform upgrade.*
Assist with user management, access controls, and security administration*
Tune queries and workloads to improve performance and reduce resource consumption*
Develop and maintain scripts for automation and monitoring*
Maintain operational documentation and knowledge base for support processes*
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as required*





Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications:



Bachelor's/Graduation/Equivalent: BE/B- Tech, MCA, MBA*
Strong experience in Netezza administration and support*
Strong SQL skills and experience with query optimization*
Hands-on experience with Netezza utilities such as nzload, nzsql, nzbackup, and nzrestore*
Experience in platform patching & upgrades.*
Knowledge of Netezza architecture and workload management (WLM)*
Good understanding of data warehouse concepts*
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving performance issues*
Familiarity with monitoring tools and alerting mechanisms*
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team*



Preferred qualifications:



Experience migrating workloads from Netezza to cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse)*
Knowledge of IBM Cloud Pak for Data*
Scripting skills in Shell, Python, or similar languages*
Experience supporting large-scale data environments in production*
ITIL or similar certification in support operations*
