Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant- Cloud Network Engineer

The Cloud Network Engineer will lead the design, automation, and security of AWS and Azure network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security & enterprise systems. This role is responsible for driving technical direction, supporting fellow engineers, and delivering measurable improvements in network performance and security.
Responsibilities

AWS Cloud Networking

Architect and scale secure AWS networking such as VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, VPN, Load Balancing, Cloud WAN, Route53, ACM, PCA. Automate network deployments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, or similar). Guide and enforce network segmentation, DNS, and traffic routing best practices. Participate in incident responses and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues. Manage DNS and IP addressing schemes using Amazon Route 53; integrate with on-premises networks. Recommend, develop, and implement network security policies using AWS Security Groups, Network ACLs, and AWS WAF.

Azure Cloud Networking

Design and manage Azure cloud infrastructure for robust, scalable, and secure platforms. Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) for automated deployments. Automate administrative tasks and enhance operational efficiency with PowerShell, GitHub, and Python. Recommend, develop, and implement security measures for compliance with industry regulations. Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations and troubleshooting. Collaborate with IT, security, DevOps, and project managers to align strategies.

General Duties

Collaborate with fellow engineers and architects to influence cloud networking standards across teams. Drive initiatives around network observability, security, and performance using CloudWatch, Datadog, and Azure Monitor. Stay current with cloud networking best practices and industry trends.

Reduced network deployment times and configuration errors through automation. Maintain network uptime of 99.99% via robust failover and monitoring. Achieved zero critical vulnerabilities in annual security audits.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience in cloud or network engineering, with deep AWS and Azure experience. Expert-level understanding of networking (IP, BGP, DNS, firewalls, routing). Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, Ansible). Hands-on experience with migrating and optimizing multi-account/multi-region AWS and Azure setups. Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Azure Monitor, etc.). Scripting language knowledge (Python / PowerShell / Nodejs).
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

Microsoft Certifications in Azure Solutions Architecture, Azure Administration, or Azure Kubernetes are a plus.
