Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, Java
In this role, you would be primary responsible for development and some design various applications based on Java. Work with business people to have a real time understanding of business problem and, craft the solution which really fits into customer needs.
Responsibilities
Responsible to collaborate with businesspeople to have a real time understanding of business problems and expected to focus on agile methodology of development. Deliver high quality change within the deadlines.
We wish to perform unit testing, integration testing and UAT as and when required. Also, engage with Client in requirement gathering, Status update on work, UAT and be the key partner in the overall engagement.
Understand business requirements raised through user service requests - design and implement solutions accordingly to a high quality standard
Enforce to client coding standards
Working with the Test Manager in handling the System Test cycle
Interacting with clients on client’s sites
Mentoring and coaching of graduate staff.
Seek and resolve production problems with new insights
Regular interaction (in person, email and over phone) with business and technical partners locally and globally for status update, requirement discussions, discussion around solution/approach etc
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with using AWS services and architecture
- Strong hold on Java, springboot, microservices
- Familiar with front-end technologies Vue.js as per product needs
- Strong knowledge in SQL/PLSQL
- Familiarity with Java, PL/SQL, Oracle database, PostGres
- Familiarity with AWS platform, and GE Aviation VPC CI/CD setup.
- Knowledge in Agile, Rally, GitHub, concepts and methodology
- Knowledge in tools including but not limited to:
o Rally
o Confluence
o Collaboration in MS TEAMS, Outlook
o Knowledge in Business Intelligence technologies such as Big Data and ETL.
- Others
o Industry standard technology skills (i.e. personal computer skills, OS familiarity, Web, etc.)
- Familiarity with using AWS services and architecture

- Work inclusively with other vendor partners and product team
- Challenge and recommend on problem solving
- Occasional EST and weekend support for product releases
- Ability to attend project status calls and report on status
- Ability to recommend quality assurance strategies
