For more information, please visit www.bounteous.comOur India based Managed Services team is looking for a Lead Systems Engineer who can craft and maintain flexible systems that meet the needs of our clients, both internally and externally. You will help to support the operation of a market-leading eCommerce and Digital Presence infrastructure.Job Location

  • This job demands to commute to office on a regular basis. WFH will not be provided.
  • Should be flexible to work in rotational shift (24/7)
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • 8-10 years of Work experience on Infrastructure & Cloud services viz., AWS, Azure
  • Maintaining the good standing of the server infrastructure. We are responsible for many Windows and Linux servers and an increasing investment in serverless technologies.
  • Support and maintenance of systems and infrastructure environments managed for our clients.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes (incident, change and problem management) and ITSM ticketing systems is a plus.
  • Incident Management - Provide timely response to disruption of service and restoration of service ensuring proper documentation in ticketing system.
  • Change Management - prepare proper ticket documentation, implementation and rollback plans to successfully implement changes to the client\'s environments.
  • Problem Management - participate in working sessions and work to permanently resolve recurring and critical incidents.
  • Helping to research and develop new infrastructure technologies and approaches as they emerge.
  • Supporting several platforms at the server / service level. This at times includes eCommerce platforms, Content Management Platforms, Data integration, and custom systems.
  • Performing routine tasks related to the infrastructure of our clients\' systems.
  • Monitoring for and responding to anomalies within our infrastructure, including on-call rotation as part of a larger team.
  • Helping to design and improve our monitoring and reporting.
  • Developing and maintaining automation for provisioning and deployment of the server infrastructure.
  • Working closely with platform developers to solve their infrastructure-related issues, and mentoring others in understanding implications and limitations of the technology.
  • Troubleshooting incidents and problems in platforms we support.
  • Participates in an on call rotation calendar to ensure effective 7 x 24 x 365 coverage
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience improving workflow (reducing/optimizing tasks)
  • Knowledge in deploying and maintaining cloud technologies as part of larger systems
  • Understanding of security implications of architecture decisions
  • Practical knowledge of common Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and practices
BENEFICIAL SKILLS:
  • ITIL certification; experience working in an ITIL shop
  • Exposure to load testing, pen testing, and providing security for cloud resources
  • Administering and using monitoring tools (NewRelic, Datadog, Splunk, Sumologic, etc) to troubleshoot issues
  • Other cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud
