About Alstom in India Alstom has established a strong presence in India. Currently, the company is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stock manufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCity in Andhra Pradesh. In the Mainline space, Alstom is executing Signaling & Power Supply Systems for the 343 Km. section on World Bank funded Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. Phase 1 in the construction of the new electric locomotive factory for manufacturing and supply of 800 units of 12000HP locomotives is also complete at Madhepura, Bihar while the depot at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh is ready to commence operation. Alstom has set up an Engineering Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, and this coupled with a strong manufacturing base as well as localized supply chains, is uniquely positioned to serve customers across the globe. Mission and Responsibilities:
Deploy commodities strategy Ensure project execution in line with QCD objectives Pilot contractual relationships with suppliers for his/her scope on different sites
Supplier relationship:

• Identification of project and business needs

• Preparation and launch of Request For Quotation with suppliers using the standard tool

• Negotiation of cost reduction with suppliers

• Inputs provider/contributor for order placement

• Ensure QCD targets achievement, CONQ** & claims management

• Lead supplier QCD performance reviews

• Management of initial issues before escalation to line manager

• Respect Alstom Transport code of ethics and guidelines.

Commodity support:

• Consolidation of commodity needs, inputs

• Active participation to commodity strategy and panel elaboration

• Commodity representative

• According to delegation, lead commodity segments strategy

• Support of Commodity Manager in tender phase

• Represent the commodities towards projects, platforms and solutions

• Effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving

• Apply the Alstom Transport Sourcing process, and provide return on experience.

Involvement in projects:

• Closely work with sourcing project representatives (Project Sourcing Manager, etc...)

• Ensure work package sheet commitment respect

• Ensure QCD targets

Educational requirements

Business school or Engineering degree with MASTER in purchasing MASTER

Technical Knowledge / Experience

Fluent english & International background
Minimum of Six (upto 10 years) years working experience in purchasing

Behavioral and Technical Skills / Competencies

Strong interpersonal skills (leadership, communication, ability to convince)
