Infilect, a leader in visual intelligence for worldwide retail, is looking for a highly analytical and entrepreneurial Lead Backend Engineer to champion its growing team of engineers.

Infilect is founded by two PhDs and ex-IBM-Research-Scientists to build scalable visual-AI systems to make the world a better place. Infilect (https://www.infilect.com) builds state-of-the-art cloud and AI applications for the worldwide retail industry. We process images and videos at scale and in real-time in order to solve retail supply-chain problems and make an environmentally sustainable net-positive impact on the world. About the position

We are looking for a young colleague with an entrepreneurial mindset (preferably experience with a startup, overall about 3 to 6 years of experience in building scalable backend/cloud applications, working with a team of 4 to 6 engineers) to help us build scalable python-driven applications.

Responsibilities:

Actively involved in technology development, code reviews, and architecture and design discussions Managing a team of 3 to 6 python engineers toward product development Managing technology documentation Working with Product Managers to plan sprints and with the Frontend team for designing APIs Architecting and building scalable cloud architecture

Skills Required:

Extensive experience in Django/Python/Backend stack (at least 3 years of experience) Ability to build scalable APIs and scalable cloud architectures to process 10M photos in a single day as part of real-time and batch-processing Ability to coordinate across different products, engineering tasks, and implementing the modules along with scalability, security, extensibility in mind. Be well versed in Django-Python stack with backend tools such as Celery, Kubernetes etc. Understanding agile development, CI/CD, sprints, code reviews
