You will be part of the Engineering team and as such accountable for the following: Coaching & mentoring: - The Lead Software Engineer takes responsibility for coaching and mentoring more junior engineers and in the process mitigates risk of knowledge loss. Engineering standards - Define development best practices and guidelines; constructively help improving our ways of working. Low Level Designs \xe2\x80\x93 The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for creating Low Level Design and providing guidance to the Backend developers. The Lead Developer will be working closely with the Architects. Develop Code \xe2\x80\x93 Develop against the agreed designed architecture, best practices and guidelines. Quality \xe2\x80\x93 Always improve the quality of the code according to our standards and help identify technical debts and risks. Reliability \xe2\x80\x93 Assure code meet our reliability requirements (Resilience & Availability, Scalability and Automation, Performance, Monitoring, Protected UX)

Specialist skills and experience Minimum 8 years of development experience including 7+ years of Java development experience. Minimum 4 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a technical lead. Working experience of Agile software delivery within dynamic corporate environments. Experience in the betting industry \xe2\x80\x93 an advantage. Self and fast learner. Fluent in English and very good communicator. Experience/Technical knowledge in the following products/technologies would be highly desirable: Functional programing JAVA version 8+ / Springboot Scala / Akka Cloud platforms (we use AWS). Node.js JavaScript or typeScript ElasticSearch RDBMS and NOSQL Database Docker Apache KAFKA REST
