Role Description:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Team Lead to manage our B2B Sales and Operations team in Chennai. This is a hybrid role with a dual focus: driving sales performance through a team of calling agents and Sales Executives, and optimizing our end-to-end supply chain and fulfillment operations with vendors and carriers in the USA.
The role entails overseeing a team of B2B sales agents, developing strategies to drive revenue, managing sales processes, monitoring performance, and mentoring team members. The role requires strong leadership, communication, sales, and analytical skills to ensure the team achieves sales goals and maintains customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Team Management & Sales Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Calling Agents and Sales Executives.
Monitor daily performance metrics, ensuring a healthy and flowing lead pipeline.
Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and training to enhance team capability.
Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
Stakeholder & Partner Management:
Act as primary liaison with internal stakeholders (India and US based).
Manage relationships with key external partners, including vendors, carriers (LTL/Trucking), and 3PL providers.
Negotiate bulk pricing with vendors and freight rates with carriers to optimize costs.
Operational Excellence & P&L Management:
Own and manage the P&L for the B2B operations vertical, with a sharp focus on profitability.
Oversee the entire order fulfillment cycle from confirmation to final delivery.
Ensure operational processes are efficient, scalable, and customer-centric.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
5+ years of total experience, with at least 3 years in a team leadership role managing 6-10 members.
Proven experience in B2B sales operations and supply chain/logistics management, preferably within e-commerce, retail, or furniture/consumer goods.
Demonstrable experience in P&L management, vendor negotiation, and carrier management.
Strong understanding of US logistics, particularly LTL shipping for large goods, is highly desirable.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders and partners across different cultures and time zones (primarily US).
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel/Sheets) and CRM software
