About the role
As the Deputy General Manager - Property Management, youll be responsible for optimising the organisations physical assets and spaces while managing customer satisfaction. Your role involves strategic planning, facilities management, vendor relations, budgeting and sustainability initiatives.
Key responsibilities

  • Strategic planning:
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for facilities and real estate management aligned with the organisation's overall goals and objectives
  • Assess current and future space needs, analyse market trends and formulate long-term plans for optimising the organization's real estate portfolio
  • ]Transition management:
  • Ensure a smooth handover from the project
  • Design submittals (floor plan layout, MEP drawings, DBR, TDS, etc.)
  • Collect relevant compliance, AMC and warranty documents
  • Ensure proper installation and testing/commissioning of all MEP equipment, fire alarm systems, access systems, CCTV, BMS, etc. Utilities like chiller plants, transformers, AHUs, compressors, generators, cooling towers, pumps, HVAC, STP, etc.
  • Review SOPs and checklists of equipment/services prepared by the Property Management team
  • Conduct snagging and de-snagging
  • Facilities management:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of facilities, including office buildings and other physical assets
  • Oversee maintenance, repairs, and renovations, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Manage service contracts, vendor relationships and budget for facility-related expenses
  • Veendor and contractor management:
  • Manage relationships with vendors, contractors and service providers
  • Negotiate contracts, evaluate vendor performance and ensure the delivery of high-quality services within established budgets and timelines
  • Budgeting and cost management:
  • Develop and manage budgets for facilities and real estate-related expenses, including rent, CAM, maintenance, utilities and capital projects
  • Monitor costs, identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure financial targets are met
  • Customer/tenant service:
  • Oversee and manage customer service operations to ensure high-quality customer support and satisfaction
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer service processes and drive customer loyalty
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues and escalations effectively
  • Analyse customer feedback and data to identify trends and make recommendations for enhancing the overall customer experience
  • Sustainability and environmental initiatives:
  • Promote and implement sustainable practices within the organisation's facilities and real estate operations
  • This may involve energy efficiency initiatives, waste management programs, green building certifications and promoting environmentally friendly practices among employees
  • Risk management and compliance:
  • Identify potential risks and implement measures to mitigate them, such as developing emergency response plans, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and managing insurance coverage for facilities and real estate assets
  • Stakeholder management:
  • Collaborate and coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders, including executives, department heads, employees, vendors, government agencies and community members
  • Engage in effective communication, relationship building, and addressing any concerns or issues related to facilities and real estate
  • Reporting and analytics:
  • Compile and analyse data related to facilities and real estate performance, occupancy rates, costs and other key metrics
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for management, highlighting insights, recommendations and progress towards strategic objectives
Who are we looking for?
Education:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering/Hospitality/Management
Experience:
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in facilities management
  • Professional affiliation with a facilities management association and relevant certifications are highly desirable
Skills:
  • Demonstrated expertise in transforming and implementing a fully integrated facilities management model
  • Proficient in advanced Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of web-based applications that support corporate real estate needs
  • Familiarity with reporting tools for comprehensive site and cross-site analysis
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively
