Roles and Responsibilities: VBA Developer / Advanced Excel Analyst

Participate actively in project planning, progress updates, and review sessions. Develop and maintain VBA code to connect Excel with external data sources such as SQL databases. Automate workflows by integrating Excel with other Office applications (e.g., Outlook). Cleanse, validate, and transform large datasets using advanced Excel formulas and VBA scripting. Consolidate and integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and readiness for analysis. Design and build custom Excel user forms and interactive interfaces using VBA. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing VBA macros and Excel models. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data solutions. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports to track business metrics. Implement robust error handling and design intuitive, user-friendly Excel tools. Ensure compliance with data governance policies, privacy regulations, and industry best practices. Provide end-user support and conduct training sessions to enhance adoption and usability.

Candidate Profile:

4 to 7 years of proven experience in VBA development and advanced Excel functionalities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset. Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, managing relationships with both business and technical stakeholders. Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, and insurance domain experience (claims, underwriting) is an advantage.
