Position Title, Responsibility Level: AM/LAM Function : Data Governance - Analyst Reports to Project Manager, Delivery Permanent/ Temporary Permanent Span of Control TBD Location Offshore / India Basic Function Data Governance Analyst, should have worked with multiple projects in Data Steward, Data Custodian, Data Quality Analyst or MDM Analyst roles. Provide vision and leadership to inspire clients on their Data Governance journey. Scope includes leading Data Governance assessments and implementation tasks and deliverables. Essential Functions . Worked on Data Discovery, Data Mapping and Data Analysis, creating Operating Data Models for Governance, Quality or MDM frameworks. . Should have experience working with Collibra, Informatica EDC, Axon, Alation etc. Data Governance Implementation Platforms. . Work with all levels of client to design and implementation of data governance solutions, tailored to work in different client environments. . Develop business cases for Data Governance programs. . Contribute to Data Governance working sessions with the client. . Contribute to the advancement of the Data Governance practice by adding to best practices, providing thought leadership, supporting the sales team and coaching more junior colleagues on Data Governance. . Implement, configure and maintain hardware for test instances of Data Governance software. . Lead and coach other Data Governance team members on an engagement. . Stay informed of best practices consistent with new technologies and customer needs. Recommend removal of out of date practices and implement beneficial changes and improvements for Data Governance. . Contribute to the advancement of the Datasource Data Governance practice by adding to best practices, providing thought leadership, supporting the sales team and coaching more junior colleagues on Data Governance. . Other duties as assigned or identified Primary Internal Interactions Project Delivery . Formulates workable solutions that integrate people, process and technology. Integrates competency leads and other subject matter experts to define the details of vision and solution . Supports technical teams in documenting and implementing technical solutions for business problems . Supports Delivery Enablement and Practice Leads by ensuring appropriate linkage between practices is clear and well understood . Works with practice leads or project manager to develop project estimating methodologies for new areas of focus Account & Resource Management . Works closely with Engagement Managers, Account Managers and Account Leads in strategies to grow existing accounts . Primary External Interactions Assessment Participation & Leadership . Identifies, creates and communicates the vision of the end-to-end solution for the client and implementation teams after completing thorough evaluations of the present state needs . Actively participates in strategy development and current state assessments for clients to identify opportunities. Acts as proxy for practice leads when necessary . Works with client to sell the proposed solution and develop internal marketing programs . Supports work that may not fall into an existing competency and helps to identify possible needs for new competencies. . Partners with account team and client to develop the ROI, Business Case, and Statement of Work for an engagement Organizational Relationships Reports To : Project Manager - over time, this will evolve Supervises : Skills Technical Skills . 3-5 years of Data Management. Data Governance, Data Stewardship, Data Quality or MDM experience, minimum of 3 years in a Data Governance Analyst or Lead role in a formal Data Governance program. . Experience in understanding Data Governance operating model where one exists today, or assessing and improving on an existing Data Governance operating model. . Experience with Data Exploration using SQL, My SQL and other Data Analysis tools/technologies. . Experience working with business / technical development team / data stewards to clearly document Data Governance and metadata requirements. . Experience with Data Governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica EDC or AXON, Alation or other Data Governance Platforms/tools. . Experience with Data Catalog tools such as Informatica EDC or Alation. . Strong experience in interviewing and group facilitation. Process Specific Skills . Display a strong presence with the ability to be an effective trusted advisor. . Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills. . Demonstrate critical thinking, logical and analytical problem-solving. . Advanced understanding of Enterprise Data Management concepts and prior consulting background (preferred). . Lead small teams while navigating politics in large client environments. . Understand when and how to apply Data Governance tools. . Ability to travel for client engagements. Soft skills (Desired) .
