This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Applications Engineer, Legal in India.
This role is a pivotal position within legal operations, offering the opportunity to lead the management, configuration, and enhancement of enterprise legal applications. You will work closely with legal stakeholders to understand processes, troubleshoot system issues, and implement solutions that increase operational efficiency and compliance. The role requires deep expertise in legal matter management systems, configuration, and technical problem-solving. You will mentor junior team members, coordinate with global IT teams, and drive strategic improvements across multiple applications, making a measurable impact on the legal technology landscape. This position is remote, offering flexibility and the chance to engage with a diverse, high-performing team across time zones.
Accountabilities

• Provide end-to-end support and management of legal applications, including ONIT, Agiloft/Ironclad, COI, Reveal, and Kodex.
• Analyze legal processes and business requirements to design, configure, and customize matter management workflows and applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while overseeing system enhancements and new feature rollouts.
• Maintain data integrity, implement governance practices, and ensure compliance across legal applications.
• Lead interactions with stakeholders, coordinating project progress, and providing technical guidance.
• Mentor junior EPM and application team members to accelerate their technical and process knowledge.
• Develop detailed documentation, including FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree or ONIT certification is a plus.
• Minimum 7+ years' experience in legal operations, matter management, or similar roles with a focus on ONIT applications or equivalent legal software.
• Strong technical and analytical skills, with experience in configuring and customizing matter management modules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, with the ability to collaborate across time zones.
• Experience leading discussions, providing recommendations on complex issues, and confidently addressing both technical and non-technical matters.
• Comfortable working with globally dispersed IT teams and senior business leadership.
• Knowledge of AGILE or SAFe methodologies is desirable.
