This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Applications Engineer, Legal in India.
In this role, you will serve as a key technical leader supporting legal operations, providing both hands-on application management and strategic guidance across legal systems. You will work closely with stakeholders to analyze legal processes, implement system enhancements, and ensure seamless operation of matter management and contract lifecycle platforms. Your expertise will help streamline workflows, drive efficiency, and maintain compliance across the organization. The role requires collaboration with global teams, mentoring junior members, and providing support to end-users across time zones. You will also have the opportunity to influence system architecture, optimize processes, and contribute to professional development initiatives within the legal technology space.
Accountabilities:

• Manage, configure, and customize legal applications such as ONIT, Agiloft/Ironclad, COI, Reveal, and Kodex to meet organizational needs.
• Analyze legal workflows and business requirements to propose technology-driven solutions that improve efficiency and compliance.
• Provide end-user support, troubleshoot system issues, and resolve technical problems promptly.
• Oversee system enhancements, rollouts, and adoption initiatives in coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
• Maintain accurate legal data, create dashboards, develop AIOps rules, and prepare documentation including FAQs and best practices.
• Lead and mentor junior EPM team members, accelerating their knowledge development and supporting Agile/SAFe practices.
• Build strong relationships with global stakeholders, providing technical expertise and recommendations for complex issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree or ONIT certification is a plus.
• Minimum 7+ years' experience in legal operations, matter management, or a similar role, with a focus on ONIT or equivalent applications.
• Proficiency in legal applications, especially matter management modules, including configuration and customization.
• Strong analytical and technical skills to interpret complex legal data and troubleshoot system issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused, with ability to work across US and Indian time zones.
• Experience leading discussions, articulating technical and non-technical recommendations, and supporting junior team members.
• Familiarity with Agile or SAFe methodologies is desirable; prior experience in a US client-facing support role is a plus.
