This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Applications Engineer, Legal in India.
This role offers a senior-level opportunity to lead and manage legal technology systems supporting Legal, Audit, and Security functions. The successful candidate will work closely with legal stakeholders to implement, maintain, and enhance applications such as Legal Matter Management, Contract Lifecycle Management, and related tools. You will analyze business processes, configure workflows, and deliver technology-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and compliance. This position requires strong technical expertise, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members. It is remote-based with occasional collaboration across time zones, primarily with US-based teams.
Accountabilities

• Provide end-user support and troubleshooting across multiple legal applications, including ONIT, Agiloft/Ironclad, COI, Reveal, and Kodex.
• Analyze business requirements and legal processes to propose and implement technology solutions.
• Lead configuration, customization, and enhancement of legal matter management modules to align with organizational needs.
• Oversee project planning, workflow tracking, and adoption of new technologies within the legal operations landscape.
• Maintain data integrity and governance across legal systems, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation, including guides, FAQs, and best practices.
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering technical growth and expertise in legal applications.
• Collaborate with globally dispersed IT teams and senior stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or ONIT certification preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in legal operations, matter management, or a similar role with proficiency in ONIT or comparable software.
• Strong technical and analytical skills, with experience interpreting complex legal data within matter management systems.
• Hands-on experience with configuration and customization of legal applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Comfortable leading discussions, articulating recommendations, and collaborating across global teams.
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments is a plus.
