Take ownership of Power BI administration, managing workspaces, permissions, dataset refreshes, and gateway configurations.
Design and implement end-to-end data models to support scalable reporting and analytics.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to transform complex data into actionable insights.
Optimize the performance and scalability of PowerBI solutions, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
Work with the data platform team to ensure BI tools integrate seamlessly with the underlying data infrastructure.
Build, maintain, and optimize dbt pipelines for ELT workflows and data transformations.
Use SQL and Python to manipulate, clean, and enrich datasets to meet analytical requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and insightful dashboards.
Ensure strong data governance and promote best practices in data quality, accessibility, and consistency.
Champion performance and scalability across all BI assets.
Stay up to date with industry trends and tools across the modern data stack.
Must-Have Experience:
6 to 8 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar role.
Deep expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and data modelling best practices.
Hands-on experience with dbt (data build tool) for data transformation and modelling.
Strong command of SQL and Python for data wrangling and automation.
Familiarity with data architecture concepts and working with cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).
Solid understanding of data governance principles, including implementation within Power BI (e.g., naming conventions, certified datasets, role-level security).
Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices, including deploying and managing Power BI assets through pipelines and workspaces in a structured, automated way.
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
Familiarity with data modelling concepts and techniques for BI tools.
Knowledge of big data frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark) is advantageous.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps practices for analytics solutions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in business intelligence or analytics (e.g., Microsoft Power BI Certification) are a plus.
Nice to Have:
Experience in the retail or fashion industry, with insight into business intelligence needs in these sectors.
Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Prefect.
Prior exposure to Snowflake or similar modern cloud data platforms.
