Job Summary:

CGI is seeking a highly skilled Java Full Stack Developer Lead with strong experience in Angular and backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs. The ideal candidate will lead a team of developers, drive end-to-end solution design, ensure best coding practices, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of full-stack web applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular. Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Oversee and guide the team on code reviews, performance optimization, and best development practices. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and database components. Ensure application scalability, security, and maintainability throughout the development lifecycle. Manage version control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments using tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes. Troubleshoot production issues and ensure smooth application support and maintenance. Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and agile ceremonies as a technical lead.

Technical Skills Required:

Frontend:

Angular HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap, RxJS, NgRx


Backend:

Java 8/11/17, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture

Database:

Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL SQL query optimization and performance tuning


DevOps & Tools:

Git, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, JIRA Docker, Kubernetes (preferred) Cloud platforms - AWS / Azure / GCP (any one preferred)


Testing:

JUnit, Mockito, Karma/Jasmine (for Angular)


Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 8+ years of hands-on development experience with at least 3+ years in a lead role. Proven experience in delivering enterprise-scale, cloud-ready full-stack applications. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
