Position description:

Be passionate to review & initiate actions to protect IP of TVS-M designs / products (current & future) Design and develop a robust IP culture, system for capturing potential inventions / ideas from all stakeholders across NPD Facilitating innovation & conversion of ideas into qualified Invention Disclosures for appropriate protection in timely manner to built competitive edge, implement best-in-class practices, standaridse and enhance productivity through digitilisation Evaluate ideas for patentability through inventor (s) interview / interactions against business impact & NPD, evaluate designs, diligently analyse patent issues, provide FTO legal opinions and drive alternate solution, IP generation cum protection in timely manner, follow, maintain & upgrade SOPs' from time to time. Review IP feedback - analyse & dispose concerns from stakeholders, effectively built conviction with stakeholders and manage projects independently as well as in liason with legal associates Draft specifications, review IDF's & ensure appropriate protection, review jurisdiction based draft claim & recommend for final specification and sucessfully defend through hearing / legal proceedings Be well versed with industry best practices, best case laws, case studies and apply in major jurisdictions to protect IP. Plan & execute invalidation, opposition, licensing, litigation projects in liason with legal associates from time to time Accountable for continuous improvement, building suitable means to upgrade legal knowhow of IP laws (domestic & foreign), prioritise customer requirements and meet project timelines Responsible for building strong IP protofolio in colloboration with technical heads through risk management and be cost centric, handle other forms of IP including design registrations, copyrights etc. as essential Be a strong team player as well as a positive individual contributor to work with technical teams and overcome patent hurdles, FTO challenges, resolve claim interpretation issue Identify IP in NPD, design, technology & recommend for protection, enable overcoming IP hurdles. Systematic daily work management to Study & qualify IDF for adherence, adequacy. Conduct invention mining reviews & evaluate ideas. Draft the specification meeting legal requirements. Verify specification against SOPs and process dockets. Study FER (First Examination report) & Prior Arts. Conceive & develop prosecution strategy. Draft FER response meeting legal requirements. Verify FER response against SOPs & submit. Analyse and provide recommendations for FTO/alerts, drive alternate solutions to overcome IP hurdles.

Educational qualifications preferred:

Bachelor or Master in Engineering
Bachelor or PG Diploma in IP Law from reputed institute
