Lead Analyst - Credit Analysis - Corporate Credit/ Financial Institutions - 7+ Years - Mumbai
We are hiring Lead Analyst - Credit Analysis for a leading global analytics and research organization. There are two opportunities- Corporate Credit (Non-Financial Corporates) as well as Counterparty Credit Risk (Financial Institutions), offering exposure to global portfolios, in-depth credit research, and stakeholder interaction across regions.
Location: Mumbai

Responsibilities: * Conduct in-depth credit analysis and research on either corporate entities (non-financial corporates) or financial institutions (banks, insurance companies, asset managers, broker-dealers, funds), based on role alignment.

• Prepare detailed credit assessment / research reports, covering operating environment, business and financial risk, management strategy, industry dynamics, market indicators, and external support.
• Build, update, and maintain financial models / spreads using company disclosures, filings, and market databases.
• Assign internal credit ratings using proprietary frameworks and apply analytical judgement where required.
• Track market developments and assess their impact on the covered portfolio.
• Support senior stakeholders and project managers on ongoing and ad-hoc research initiatives.
• Contribute to sector, industry, and country research, database maintenance, and news flow tracking.
• Mentor and guide junior team members on credit analysis and research best practices.

Requirements: * 7-15 years of experience in credit research / credit risk assessment / equity research, covering either corporates or financial institutions.

• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, accounting, and core finance concepts.
• Experience in fundamental credit analysis with the ability to form independent credit opinions.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills with the ability to present views confidently to senior stakeholders.
• Exposure to global portfolios is highly preferred.
• Qualification: CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA / FRM / PGDBM.
