Role purpose

Role Purpose:

The candidate is meant to be acting as subject matter expert in Interconnect billing. The one who can manages process documentation, works individually on interconnect processes and act as a subject matter expert of rating configuration and suspense management. The role requires good knowledge of Interconnect billing system and also to have logical mindset to always look out for improvement items and bring effectiveness via automation/process improvements. The role also requires to work in close cooperation with stakeholders like Finance, IT, Sales.

Key accountabilities

• Interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs. Gathers, documents, and analyses business needs and requirements.

• Understands the Customer and Supplier concepts and its handling in systems accordingly.
• Represent billing team in various Colt projects, billing projects, and minor enhancements analyse the impact on usage rating to avoid suspense and ensure accuracy of rating.
• Ensure that the billing requirements are fulfilled in the project, review designs for changes to billing and other systems\' and processes that impact billing.
• To acquire a good working knowledge of the different Colt country voice configuration and products offered.
• Update process documents, train users, and provide post go-live support
• Ensure accurate and timely update of reference data configuration in Interconnect system like Trunks, Switch, Network Operator set up.
• Ensure accurate and timely update of tariffs into the Interconnect system.
• Should be able to handle customer invoicing and supplier invoice reconciliation.
• Should be able to analyse the data correctly as and when required.
• Should be able to analyse error/suspense cdr\'s and provide timely resolution.
• Prepare reports and graphs as and when required..
• Understands the Customer and Supplier concepts and its handling in systems accordingly.
• Adherence to SLA and KPIs, and reporting
• Should come up with innovative ideas for effort reduction and process improvements.

Role specific requirements

Skills & Experience

Mandatory Skills

• 3-6 Years of total experience with minimum 3 years of relevant telecom billing in usage area including and destination configuration
• Good understanding of Interconnect architecture, usage, configurations and tables
• Interconnect Billing System v11 of CSG
• Basic understanding of Python
• Hands on experience in Data Analysis, SQL, Microsoft Excel
• Experience of working and handling Telecom Billing processes like Supplier Invoice Reconciliation, Tariff Management, Customer Invoicing, Suspense Analysis
• Should be able to work on excel/advance excel for generating internal reports, to manage productivity and to perform analysis for stakeholder groups.

Desirable Skills

• Technical and functional knowledge of other wholesale billing systems, retail billing systems and Mediation systems
• Experience as business analyst or data migration specialists in billing implementation projects

Qualifications

• Graduates/Post Graduates/BE/BTECH/MCA
• University degree preferably in business, IT, engineering disciplines. Post Graduate is desired as well.

• Fluent in English (verbal and in written) is necessary.

• Working Hours: Will be required to work in shifts (covering India and EU working hours). Working out of office hours (including weekends) as per the business need/customer requirements.
