Responsibilities
Role Summary
This role is part of Finance (Business System Support) and focuses on managing and enhancing the Accounting Rule Engine within Oracle Fusion. It is designed for professionals who have graduated from junior analyst responsibilities and are now ready to take ownership, develop expertise, and lead initiatives in accounting automation and rule configuration.
Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain Accounting Rule Engine configurations in Oracle Fusion.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into accounting rules and mappings.
  • Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to ensure accurate and compliant accounting automation.
  • Perform impact analysis for rule changes and manage testing cycles (SIT/UAT).
  • Document rule logic, configuration steps, and maintain version control.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior analysts and act as SME for accounting rules.
  • Monitor rule execution and troubleshoot discrepancies in accounting entries.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and recommend best practices for rule governance.
Must-Have Skills
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion Accounting Hub and Subledger Accounting (SLA) concepts.
  • Hands-on experience in configuring accounting rules, mappings, and journal line definitions.
  • Ability to analyze financial processes and translate them into system logic.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with testing, troubleshooting, and resolving accounting automation issues.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Qualifications
Qualifications-Relevant Work Experience
  • Preferred educational background
  • Graduation / Post graduation in Finance/MBA/Chartered Accountant (Qualified/Semi qualified)
Relevant Work Experience
  • Minimum of 6-8 years' of relevant experience with exposure to Oracle Fusion ERP modules beyond Accounting Hub (e.g., AP, AR, GL)., Experience with SQL for data validation and reporting., Knowledge of integration points between Accounting Rule Engine and other systems. , Understanding of automation tools and RPA for finance prprocesses.(preferably in BFSI Industry, either in GCC / service provider environment)

This role reports to: Manager/Senior Manager
