Position Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with 4-7 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise-level applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in Core Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Angular, and Oracle PL/SQL, along with a solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and industry best practices.

The role involves working closely with global teams, performing data mapping and migration, conducting code reviews, and driving continuous improvement through efficient coding and standardized development processes.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Core Java, J2EE (JSP/Servlets, EJB3, JPA, JDBC, JMS), Spring, Hibernate/iBatis, and front-end frameworks like Angular (AngularJS/Angular 6+), HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript. Implement best coding practices and design patterns to ensure maintainable and scalable solutions. Perform detailed data mapping between legacy systems and new platforms. Collaborate with customers to validate business rules and clarify data requirements. Identify technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution. Develop standardized procedures for common conversion routines to increase efficiency. Work with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and UNIX for back-end development and deployment. Utilize XML, XSLT, XSD, JSON for data integration and transformation. Participate in release management, including complex build and deployment activities. Work with tools such as Eclipse/JUnit, Maven/Ant, Git/CVS/SVN, Jenkins/Bamboo, and SQL Developer. Collaborate with North American counterparts/clients, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills. Contribute to estimation efforts, project planning, and adherence to Agile processes. Ensure compliance with coding standards, security frameworks (e.g., SAML, SSO), and documentation practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6-11 years of professional experience in software development and application enhancements. Proven experience in Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and Angular technologies. Strong working knowledge of Oracle Database, PL/SQL, UNIX, and web technologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Strong communication skills with experience in working directly with international clients. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
