Job Description

Responsibilities:
The role would act as Lead and support Budgeting & Forecasting & reporting team. It would include performing complex analyses and review of tasks along with innovative ideas to improve overall process and be part of team that provides accounting support and solutions to Principal Financial Group. Would be required to work closely with other functions / departments to troubleshoot process related challenges. The candidates ideally need to possess good knowledge of Budgeting & Forecasting and experience of accounting standards, close accounting, budgeting and should be conversant with financial applications and MS Office, will be responsible for reconciling & reviewing of financial transactions and reports/recons.
Key Responsibilities:

• Budgeting & Planning:Develop and manage annual budgets, ensuring alignement with corporate financial goals
• Forecasting: Prepare rolling forecasts by analyzing financial performance & business drivers
• Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis (Actual Vs Budgeted Vs Forecast) and provides insights into deviations
• Data Modeling: Create financial models and scenario analyses to support business decisions
• Stakeholder collaboration: Work with department heads, executives to gather financial data and drive performance
• Reporting: Prepare financial reports, dashboards and presentations for management & other meetings
• Process Improvement: Enhance budgeting and forecasting processes through automation and best practises
• Prepare & perform tasks related to preparation of schedules related with financial statements
• Prepare reports and perform variance analysis of financial statements.
• Working knowledge of General Ledgers & Balance Sheet Reconcilations
• Assist & supervise other team members and keep track of day to day deliverables.
• Knowledge on SAS, SQL for querying data,Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications:
Relevant work experience in Budgeting & Forecasting & Accounting Domain.
CA with experience of 6 to 10 years.
Ability to interpret complex financial data, strong communication skills,
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, excel, FP&A tools,
Knowledge of Accounting principles, financial regulations and cost management.
