Analyst - Advisory Services

Job purpose:

GDS Advisory's Risk group is a unique, industry-focused business unit that provides a broad range of integrated services that leverage deep industry experience with strong functional capability and product knowledge. Risk practice team provides integrated advisory services to leading Fortune 500 Companies. The team provides Risk Assurance, Risk Transformation, Internal Audit, Cybersecurity, Financial Services Risk Management and Actuarial services that take an enterprise-wide view, so that risk mitigation and risk management strategies and processes are embedded in every part of the organization. Our services mitigate risk, reduce the cost of control and help create value.

Technology Risk (TR) team provides services that can help clients and our external financial audit teams test and evaluate the Information Technology General Controls (ITGC) in order to place reliance over the client's IT systems, which are significant for our Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) audit work. Furthermore, the team provides data analytics service via the use of Computer Aided Audit Techniques (CAATs), to analyse and report on large volume of data.

Qualification:

To qualify, candidates must have: MBA Operations

• Understanding of ITGC
• Work paper documentation
• All candidates must be willing to travel (20-50%)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent English and Baseline / Progressing Communication/Influence
• Respond to important issues by clarifying, reinforcing and summarizing conversations
• Produce accurate, brief and clearly written documents tailored to audience needs and expectations ? Baseline teamwork
• Take responsibility for understanding and fulfilling assigned roles and key responsibilities
• Actively participate in and contribute to team discussions
• Seek advice and support from sources outside team initiated and supported by supervisor

Responsibilities

TR staff have the opportunity to:

• Interact with both clients and on-shore engagement teams and attend meetings to gain understanding of IT environment and related processes
• Review of IT process narratives
• Assist the supervisor/senior in defining the audit program
• Develop test scripts for testing User Security, Program Change Management, and IT Operations (ITGC testing)
• Interact with the on-shore team or client to gather the required evidences supporting the ITGC testing
• Utilize data analytics to convert large volume of raw data into information and reports, which help in the execution of audit procedures
• Prepare work papers and address review comments
• Escalate issues identified as result of control failures to the supervisor/senior
• Assist in the preparation of client communications and reports
