About the Role
As the Lead - Academic Counsellor (Delhi), you will be responsible for managing a team of academic counselors and driving admissions closures to meet enrollment targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for education. This role demands a results-driven professional who can motivate the team, optimize lead conversion strategies, and personally handle key enrollments to maximize revenue.
What You'll Do
Team Management & Performance Optimization:
Supervise, mentor, and support a team of academic counselors to optimize lead conversions.
Set and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly targets, ensuring achievement of enrollment goals.
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvement strategies.
Driving Admissions Closures (Personal Contribution to Sales):
Actively engage with high-intent leads and personally drive admission closures.
Handle complex student queries, objections, and escalations to ensure successful enrollments.
Assist the team in closing difficult cases and refining their counseling techniques.
Lead Conversion Strategy & Optimization:
Develop and execute strategies to enhance conversion rates from inquiries to enrollments.
Analyze lead performance data, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven improvements.
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to refine the student enrollment journey.
Training & Development:
Conduct ongoing training sessions to enhance the team's communication, negotiation, and counseling skills.
Keep the team updated on IIDE's program offerings, industry trends, and competitor insights.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Reporting & Analysis:
Track and report key performance metrics, including lead conversion rates, counselor productivity, and pipeline progress.
Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior management for process optimization.
Who You Are
Must-Have:
Bachelor's degree in any field.
4+ years of experience in sales, admissions, or lead conversion, with at least 1 year in a leadership role (preferably in EdTech).
Strong understanding of sales funnels and conversion metrics.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage a team while handling personal sales closures.
Proficiency in CRM software (Leadsquared preferred) and MS Office Suite.
Should Have:
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Nice to Have:
Experience in digital marketing education or counseling.
Certifications in counseling, education, or sales management.
