Job Summary

The Lawyer will be responsible for handling all legal, compliance, and regulatory matters related to residential apartment operations. This role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with housing and municipal laws, managing disputes, and advising the management team on legal issues concerning residents, vendors, and property governance.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and update rules, policies, and operational guidelines for residential apartment management Ensure compliance with applicable apartment ownership laws, housing regulations, and municipal requirements Draft and review agreements with vendors, service providers, contractors, and consultants Prepare legal notices, responses, and correspondence related to resident disputes and rule violations Support recovery actions related to maintenance dues, penalties, and outstanding payments Coordinate with external legal counsel for litigation, arbitration, or dispute resolution matters Maintain and manage legal documentation related to property ownership, common areas, and facilities Liaise with government authorities, municipal bodies, and regulatory agencies as required Advise management on legal risks, compliance issues, and dispute management strategies Monitor changes in housing, property, and municipal laws and recommend necessary updates or actions

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent Enrolment with the Bar Council (Required) Less than 5 years of experience in property law, housing law, or residential real estate matters Strong analytical, legal drafting, and communication skills

Preferred Skills & Experience

Prior experience in residential apartment, housing society, or property management legal work Sound knowledge of local property laws, municipal regulations, and housing compliance requirements Ability to handle sensitive resident and stakeholder matters with discretion and professionalism
