: Job Title: Supervisor - Laundry Function: Laundry Location: Lonavala Primary Purpose Is responsible for managing overall daily operations of the Laundry Room to deliver an excellent Guest experience while ensuring quality controls and guest inquiries. Skills & Major accountabilities of position (4-6 major accountabilities) 1. Should have good communication skills and organisational and planning skills. 2. Should be a computer literate, knowledge of related property software. 3. Working knowledge of the operation and care of commercial washers and dryers. 4. Should have knowledge of how to use chemicals and solvents correctly and safely. 5. Should be accountable and spirited. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Should works in close co-ordination with the Laundry Executive and prepares working schedule for staff to ensure highest efficiency of time utilization. 2. Should maintain the highest standard of Guest Laundry and House Laundry at all times and straighten out any discrepancy in guest laundry. 3. Should train new employees to meet Hotel standards and follow SOP\'s. 4. Ensures that all laundry equipment and machines are periodically maintained by the Engineering Department. 5. Should ensure par stocks are maintained and take receipt of stock and ensure safe storage. 6. Ensure guest complaints are well addressed, log books are maintained, Issue work orders for any defects in machinery and follow-up accordingly. 7. Should manage telephone calls both from guests and other departments. 8. Should prepare daily/monthly reports I.e., discard linen, daily reports, Monthly room and F&B linen inventory. 9. Should perform additional assignments as given by the management. Work relations (context - main interfaces - functional report) 1. Reports to Assistant Manager Laundry. 2. Interfaces strongly with department head and laundry employees. Key figures - provide key data of the job e.g. budget, number of reports etc 1. Financials - (Figures/% to be discussed) 2. Guest Satisfaction Scores - (Figures/% to be discussed) Experience and qualifications required for the job Bachelor\'s degree preferred (ideally in hospitality) with atleast 2-3 years of previous experience in good five star hotels. Should have worked in laundry as Assistant/supervisor Laundry. Minimum Qualification: Bachelor\'s degree preferred Minimum Job Experience: atleast 2-3 years of previous experience in good five star hotels. Reporting to: Laundry Manager Travel: N/A
