TITLE : Laundry Associate

DEPARTMENT : Housekeeping

REPORTS TO : Laundry Executive ________________________________________________________________________

General Responsibilities:

? Maintenance and upkeep of all laundry equipment.
? Responsible for the safekeeping of linen for guest rooms, restaurants and spa.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Sort all linen and treat stains accordingly.
? Load all linen into the washer and wash as per the pre-designated formula set for each category of linen.
? Sort and fold or hang clean dried items.
? Should not mix dry-cleaning items and normal washing items together.
? Should never mix kitchen, kitchen stewarding uniforms with other department uniforms while washing.
? Should not mix the aprons, kitchen dusters, stewarding dusters together for washing.
? Record laundry wash load on a daily basis.
? Responsible for the distribution of linen to guestrooms.
? Ensure proper uniform is available for the associates to carry out their work for the day.
? All uniforms must be neatly pressed and in good condition before being issued to the associates.
? Soiled uniforms should be checked thoroughly for damage, stains or repairs before they are sent for washing.
? Uniforms that are torn or have missing buttons must be repaired before washing.
? Uniforms that are stained should be identified and informed to the Laundry Manager for special cleaning.
? Uniform attendant should inform immediately to the Laundry Manager, uniform misused or willfully damaged by the associates.
? Adheres to hours of operation set for uniform exchange.
? Always follow the one for one exchange when issuing out uniforms (Fresh for Soil).
? To assist in performing the monthly inventories of uniforms.
? Follow proper system of storage for clean uniforms on the hanger trolleys.
? Ensure all uniforms are kept in good condition and properly mended.
? To assist in the discard procedure for uniforms.
? Clean uniforms must be stored in an orderly manner, dividing them first by departments and then by the uniform number.
? Exchange soiled linen from all F&B outlets as per the timing.
? Responsible for maintaining the linen room with adequate par of linen for daily operations.
? Adheres to the resting of room linen before being issued to guest rooms.
? Responsible for achieving a score of 90% in RENARD audit for Laundry operations and take necessary action for the shortcomings for standard compliance.
? Perform any other duties as assigned by the Laundry Manager.
