Job Summary:

A Lathe Operator is responsible for operating manual or automatic lathe machines to shape metal or other materials according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate lathe machines for turning, facing, threading, and drilling operations. Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions. Select and install the correct cutting tools, fixtures, and materials. Inspect finished products using measuring tools (vernier, micrometer, gauges). Ensure the dimensions and surface finish meet quality standards. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine. Follow all safety and production procedures. Report machine malfunctions or tool wear to the supervisor.

Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of lathe machine operations. Ability to read mechanical and engineering drawings. Hands-on experience with measuring instruments. Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Qualification:

10th and 12th pass and ITI / Diploma in Turner, Fitter, or Mechanical Engineering.

Salary Range:

depending on experience and skill

Pay: ₹15,500.00 - ₹20,880.00 per month
