Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled
Lathe Operator
to join our mechanical workshop team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in operating lathe machines for shaping, cutting, and finishing components with high accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate lathe machine to perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, and finishing operations.
Read and understand engineering drawings and machining instructions.
Measure finished components using instruments like vernier caliper, micrometer, and dial gauges.
Ensure precision and quality of machined parts as per specifications.
Maintain machine tools and follow daily maintenance routines.
Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines and PPE protocols.
Work closely with the fabrication and mechanical maintenance team for job planning.
Requirements:
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in lathe machine operation.
Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and measuring instruments.
Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
Experience in machining industrial and custom parts is preferred.
ITI or Diploma in Fitter/Turner/Mechanical preferred.
