Job Title: Lathe Operator (Technician)

Location: Metal Park Raipur

Department: Production / Machine Shop

Experience Required: 2-5 Years (Manual / CNC Lathe Operation)

We are looking for a skilled Lathe Operator to operate and maintain manual or CNC lathe machines with precision. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of machine setup, tool selection, job alignment, and dimensional accuracy checking.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform machining operations as per engineering drawings and job specifications.

Set up lathe machines -- select tools, adjust speeds and feeds, and ensure proper coolant usage.

Mount and align workpieces accurately on the chuck.

Carry out turning, facing, threading, boring, drilling, and grooving operations.

Measure and verify dimensions using precision instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges.

Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine preventive maintenance.

Follow safety guidelines and ensure production targets are achieved.

Work closely with the production supervisor or engineer for job assignments and process improvements.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in operating Manual and/or CNC Lathe machines.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Hands-on experience with measuring instruments.

Knowledge of different materials (MS, SS, Brass, Aluminum, etc.).

Strong focus on accuracy, tolerance, and surface finish quality.

Basic troubleshooting and machine setting skills.

Qualification:

ITI / Diploma in Turner, Fitter, or Machinist Trade (or equivalent technical qualification).

Preferred:

Experience with auto-feed, threading, and taper turning operations.

Salary: Based on experience and skill level.
