Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and responsible

Lathe Machine and Surface Grinder Operator

to join our tool room team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in precision machining, tool room operations, and the ability to work with close tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain

conventional lathe machines

and

surface grinding machines

. Perform

precision machining

of components as per drawings and specifications. Ensure accurate

dimensioning, surface finish, and quality

of machined parts. Read and interpret

engineering drawings, measurements, and tolerances

. Select appropriate cutting tools, grinding wheels, and fixtures. Inspect machined parts using

vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges

, and other measuring instruments. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the tool room. Report machine issues and ensure preventive maintenance. Assist in tool fabrication, modification, and repair as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 6 months of experience

operating lathe and/or surface grinding machines in a tool room. Basic knowledge of tool room practices and machining operations. Ability to read mechanical drawings and use precision measuring instruments. Good understanding of machining tolerances and surface finish requirements. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Education:

ITI / Diploma in Machinist, Tool & Die, Fitter, or related field preferred.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
